The Maui Invitational is one of the biggest holiday tournaments in college basketball, and coincidentally, one of our favorite events every year.
And not only because we get to go to Hawaii.
The 2018 tournament will host 8 of the year’s top teams, including Auburn, Arizona, Duke, and Gonzaga. Five times the winner of the Maui Invitational has gone on to win the National Championship later that season – Michigan in 1988, North Carolina in 2004, 2008 and 2016, and Connecticut in 2010.
Praters transforms the Lahaina Convention Center into the Maui Invitational with our PlayOn Decals
“Athlete safety is the highest priority for these teams, and also for us,” Mark Frainie, COO of Praters, said. “Without the players, we’d have no reason to be here. We want to see great games played on awesome courts, of course, but we really want these players to be safe and be able to play well on our decals.”
PlayOn Decals are pre-finished in our facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and meet all consistent surface requirements by the NCAA. They’re the only temporary decal that has been tested and approved for athlete safety by the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association.
This is the seventh year that Praters has partnered with the Maui Invitational to bring an amazing experience to athletes and fans, and is sure to be as exciting a tournament as ever.
Don’t miss the games! The tournament tips off with Auburn vs. Xavier on November 19 at 2:30 p.m. EST. Watch on ESPN 2, and check out the full schedule here.
