Ooltewah High School has debuted a bold new look for its gymnasium, and it’s turning heads across the region. The newly repainted court—expertly produced by Praters Flooring—embodies the Owls’ pride with a powerful combination of color, detail, and function. The court’s signature red border delivers an immediate visual impact, creating a vibrant frame for the action while enhancing school spirit. Flanking the court on each end, the word “Ooltewah” is boldly painted in clean white block lettering across the baselines, anchoring the space in unmistakable identity. At center court, the school’s dynamic “Owls” logo takes center stage, beautifully detailed and proportioned to command attention during both games and ceremonies.

Beyond its visual appeal, this court is built for performance. The main basketball court features a rich 3-point area stain that adds depth and contrast to the floor’s design. In the lane, a carefully applied stain highlights the school’s icon in subtle, powerful detail, connecting aesthetics with function. The court isn’t just a showcase piece—it’s a multi-purpose athletic surface that accommodates the full range of the school’s sports programming. With main volleyball game lines layered onto the design and additional side court lines for both basketball and volleyball, the gym is optimized for flexibility without sacrificing clarity or style.

This project highlights the value of working with a partner like Praters Flooring—an industry leader that understands how to blend artistry with utility. While the design concept originated with Ooltewah High School’s vision, Praters brought it to life with expert craftsmanship, precision paintwork, and durable materials that will stand up to the demands of student-athletes. The result is a gym floor that doesn’t just serve a purpose—it tells a story. One of tradition, excellence, and pride in the red and white of Ooltewah.
