As a customer since 2007, many Atlanta Hawks courts have come through our facility. And we’ve loved helping them with design transformations throughout the last 15 years.
Like most NBA teams, the Atlanta Hawks have had a number of design changes on their floors throughout the years. For the 2020-2021 season, they changed up their main court and their alternate court, and this year’s city court celebrates the city’s unique history.
The MLK floor features a stained glass painted center court, inspired by Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Martin Luther King Jr. regularly preached. On the border, there are 22 stars that represent the times Dr. King was arrested while fighting for equality.
Even the colorway of black, white, and gold, is representative of Dr. King’s legacy, and was chosen as a nod to his membership in the first Black Greek fraternity.
