It didn’t take long for the Fort Myers Tip Off to become a staple of college basketball holiday tournaments. In only 3 years, 12 teams have come through – the most recent in 2020 boasting a field of top-ranked Gonzaga and Kansas, Auburn, and Saint Joseph’s.

Together, the teams of the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off boast a combined 101 NCAA Tournament bids, 18 Final Four berths and 177 conference regular season or tournament championships.

That’s pretty impressive for a tournament in only its third year. And in a season filled with uncertainty due to covid – teams unable to play at the last minute, facilities being kept to proper safety standards, and limited crowds – it’s an even bigger feat.
