Step 1

Unplug the edger

Step 2

Use wire cutters to cut the plug from the interconnecting cord. Cut the cord as close to the plug as possible.

Step 3

Use wire cutter to strip 1 ½ inches off the outer layer of the cord.

Step 4

Use the wire strippers to remove ½ inch off the outer layer of each wire.

Step 5

Slide the plug body over the edger cord and use a screwdriver to connect the cord clamp to the plug body. Leave the cord clamp loose so that the plug body can still slide on the edger cord.

Step 6

Secure each wire to the plug by inserting the wire and tightening the screw on the connector. The green ( ground ) wire goes in the G or Green slot, the Black ( negative ) wire goes in the X slot, and the White ( neutral/ common ) wire goes in the Y slot.

Step 7

Line the plug up with the plug body and push the plug into the body.

Step 8

Tighten the screws on the face of the plug to secure the plug to the body. Tighten the screws on the body clamp to secure the plug tightly to the cord.
